Koei Tecmo Releases Developer Commentary Video for ‘Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse’ [Watch]

Horror

In spite of the awesome news regarding Peacock’s Friday The 13th series, those pesky issues regarding the license have reared their head again. In this case, it’s in regards to Blue Wizard Digital’s Friday The 13th: Killer Puzzle, which is slated to be removed from all digital platforms later this month.

The devs took to their official site to relay the news that due to the inability to renew the license with the licensors, they are now required to wind down sales of Friday The 13th: Killer Puzzle. The game will be delisted on January 23rd from all storefronts across all platforms.

There’s some good news in all of this, however. If you’ve purchased Killer Puzzle and its DLC, Blue Wizard Digital has been assured that the game is yours to keep even after the delisting. Even better, for those who haven’t snagged the game yet, you can do so on Steam for free. In addition, the DLC bundle for the Steam version is half off, which includes different skins for Jason, the official soundtrack, and four additional episodes. The remaining episodes are free, but you must manually add them to your library.

If you’ve never played Friday The 13th: Killer Puzzle before (you can read our review here), it’s from the same folks who developed SLAYAWAY CAMP, and sees you helping Jason Voorhees stalk and slay campers across 100+ levels. You’ll of course have to deal with obstacles, which is where the puzzle aspect comes in, requiring you to find the optimal path for Jason to dish out his punishment. In addition to Steam, Killer Puzzle is available on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
