Gun Interactive’s ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ Amassed Over One Million Players in 24 Hours

Horror

Now that Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is out in the wild, just how is the game faring with players? According to Gun Interactive themselves, the asymmetrical multiplayer title is doing just fine. Well, more than fine.

As revealed on their official Twitter/X account, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has seen over a million players across consoles and PC in the 24 hours since the game went live. In case you were curious, the developers didn’t reveal just yet how many Victims survived the Slaughter Family, and how many were turned into BBQ.

Gun Interactive also didn’t break down the numbers of players who bought the game, and who were enjoying it on Xbox Game Pass. Still, having over one million players playing your game right out of the gate is no small feat. The real test will be maintaining the player base count, which will obviously be key to the game’s longterm success.

Digging into the Steam stats, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre currently has around 12,500 active players (remember, the game has crossplay), with an overall positive review rating of 85% on the platform. It’s also currently ninth in the top sellers chart.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is out now on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. And check out our review while you wait for your download to finish.
