After introducing feathered dinos earlier this year, developer Frontier Developments will be shoring up the aquatic dinosaur component to Jurassic World Evolution 2. The “Prehistoric Marine Species Pack” DLC for Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be coming August 10th to PC and consoles at $7.99 USD, bringing with it four new marine species, as well as the all-new Lagoon Rock Platform.

Joining the existing roster of aquatic dinosaurs are Archelon (the largest turtle ever discovered), Nothosaurus (as seen in the Netflix show “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous”), and the Shonisaurus. The DLC also includes a non-reptillian addition with Dunkleosteus, a powerful armoured fish from the Late Devonian period.

As for the new Lagoon Rock Platform, players can add this to their enclosure to provide gathering crowds with new ways to observe the Archelon and Nothosaurus, as they rest above the water.

This new Prehistoric Marine Species Pack DLC will coincide with a free update for Jurassic World Evolution 2, which will introduce new features and enhancements. New to this update is the Lagoon Viewing Dome and the San Diego Amphitheatre, which can be placed in any sandbox park. In addition, custom Challenge Share Codes allow players to set and share their own challenges. Players will also now favourite their most-loved skins, toggle dinosaur hostility towards guests on and off, and enjoy unlocked access to all sandbox maps.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is available now for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and the Xbox One.
