As the 2026 Grammys approach, producers have revealed that Guns N’ Roses bandmates will hit the stage. Producers previously announced a slew of Grammy performers, including Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Dean. They also revealed Harry Styles will present at the show amidst his recent pop music comeback.
Music’s biggest night will also see the year’s biggest artists compete for some highly coveted awards. Former TikToker Addison Rae is up for Best New Artist, while the singing voices of Huntr/x from KPop Demon Hunters are front-runners for Best Song Written for Visual Media. However, seeing the Guns N’ Roses members take the stage may be the most exciting moment of the night.
Slash & Duff McKagan Will Perform A Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne
Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist Slash will take the Grammys stage on February 1, 2026, with the band’s bass player Duff McKagan to honor rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. Slash has taken the Grammys stage a few times before, including at the 2010 ceremony, where he played with Jamie Foxx and T-Pain on their hit “Blame It.”
However, the full band has never performed together at the award show. Both Slash and McKagan had close relationships with the “Crazy Train” singer and collaborated on a few tracks with him. Osbourne provided vocals for Slash’s solo album track “Crucify The Dead,” while Slash appeared on Osbourne’s songs “Straight to Hell” and “Ordinary Man.”
McKagan also helped Osbourne write and record his later career albums Ordinary Man and Patient Number 9. Slash even attended Osbourne’s final show back in July 2025 alongside Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose. While the ceremony regularly includes an in memoriam section, this will be a separate tribute.
For the annual in memoriam, Reba McEntire will be joined by Brandy Clark and Lukas Nelson to honor those the music industry lost in the past year. Another special tribute will honor D’Angelo and Roberta Flack and will be performed by Ms. Lauryn Hill.
Who Else Will Take The Stage For The Performance?
Slash and McKagan won’t be alone in their tribute. They’ll be joined by producer and guitarist Andrew Watt, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and singer Post Malone.
All three had a close relationship with Ozzy Osbourne, with Watt producing his final two albums, Smith providing the drums for the albums, and Post Malone duetting with Osbourne twice. Their first collaboration was “Take What You Want,” for Malone’s 2019 album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, followed by Malone singing on Osbourne’s Ordinary Man track “It’s A Raid.”
Surprisingly, Yungblud, who viewed Osbourne as a mentor and performed a tribute for him at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, will not join in the Grammy performance. The artist is nominated for three awards at this year’s ceremony. With performers who have such love and admiration for the icon, it’s bound to be an emotional Grammys performance.
