Recently, the story of Natalia leaving the Mans family, one of her adoptive families, made headlines. Audio following Natalia leaving the family was recently shared by Investigation Discovery on social media.
Nicole DePaul Previously Drove Natalia Grace To New York After Picking Her Up At A Nashville Church
Natalia Grace was adopted by the Barnett family back in 2010, following a previous adoptive placement falling though. However, the Barnetts later claimed she was really a legal adult, even having her age legally changed.
Eventually, Natalia was invited to live with the Mans family. However, the family would go on to mistrust Natalia.
As previously reported, Natalia would plan her escape from the family with the help of Nicole DePaul, who previously had hoped to adopt Natalia with her husband.
Ultimately, Nicole picked Natalia up at a Nashville church and drove her to New York. Natalia was also aided by a man named Neil who she met through Facebook.
Investigation Discovery recently shared a clip containing audio of what happened after Nicole had picked her up. Cynthia Mans accused Nicole, saying, “You sneakily took my daughter.”
Nicole defended herself, noting, “Cynthia, I didn’t sneakily. She begged me to come get her.” Cynthia responded, “That’s okay…,” with Nicole adding, “She begged me. It was days and days of communication that she needed to leave.”
Cynthia then shared, “I just want to say this without interrupting, because this is important to me as a mother. To the nurturer of Natalia Grace Renee Mans! That is my baby! I may not have carried her and delivered her, but that is my baby. I seriously pray that nobody ever does a thing like this to you, Nicole.”

However, Nicole still had questions: “Why did you take her phone, when she is a twenty year old, talking to someone in the UK? What’s wrong with that?” Cynthia responded, saying, “That’s none of your business.”
That was also Cynthia’s response to Nicole’s follow-up question: “Why have you never changed her payee to herself?” When Nicole asked, “Why have you never gotten her surgery?,” Cynthia told her to “Shut Up!”
It was at this point, Antwon Mans got involved, as he shared, “I hope you’re not trying to say that as if, as if we’re preventing her from being fixed or anything.” Natalia then chimed in, saying, “Yeah, ’cause that’s not it at all.” Nicole then asserted, “Actually, I am.”
Natalia shared, “My parents have done stuff for me. Cynthia then shared, “You’re a devil, lady!” Natalia came to her defense, saying, “So don’t say that. they haven’t…” Cynthia then said, “I rebuke you in Jesus’ name.” When Nicole tried to explain what she wanted, Cynthia interjected, “I don’t want to hear another word from your filthy mouth!”
Cynthia then tried to tell Natalia she loved her, only for Nicole to retort, “No, you don’t. You haven’t done anything for her. You have her brainwashed. It’s terrible, it’s sick.”
Cynthia Threatened Legal Action In The Clip
Antwon then said, “The devil’s a liar. That’s it, I’m done.” Cynthia then added, “You had your chance to adopt Natalia. It didn’t go through. I’m sorry about that.” Nicole responded to this, saying, “That was nothing to do with it. What I’m trying to say to you, Cynthia, is…”
Cynthia herself interjected, saying she didn’t care what Nicole had to say. She then accused Nicole of attacking her as a mother. Nicole then claimed, “She’s gonna become paralyzed! You’ve had her for eleven years and you have not gotten that taken care of.” Cynthia then claimed, “I have a lawyer and I will sue the ******* pants off you.”
Nicole then told Cynthia to “Bring it.” Cynthia finished the clip saying, “I’m about to come get you.”
