when it rains in LA

Out now in theaters from director David M. Parks is When It Rains In LA, a film that takes the true collective chaos of Los Angeles in the rain and makes that reality into a strange, twisty horror narrative. Here, a young woman returns to LA after the death of her sugar daddy, only to face weird happenings as the city is drenched in rain.

Read the full synopsis below:

It rarely rains in LA, but when it does, strange things happen. Sasha (Monroe Cline), a beautiful young Eastern European woman, arrives in Los Angeles seeking refuge and a fresh start after the sudden and inexplicable death of her elderly boyfriend (Eric Roberts). Leaving behind the life she once knew, she reconnects with old friends in LA, hoping to escape the haunting memories of her past.

But as the rain begins to fall, strange and unsettling events unfold, leaving Sasha to confront the dark and mysterious forces surrounding her. An enigmatic woman emerges from the shadows, pushing Sasha to reckon with a past shes tried to bury—and forcing her to face the chilling truths she has long denied.

In our exclusive clip, two of Sasha’s friends are locked out in the rain, and if that wasn’t enough, at least one masked stranger is watching them…
