Bachelor alum Kelley Flanagan is mourning a huge loss this Christmas. She already had a tough year that just got tougher. She shared her loss, feelings and memories with all her followers on Instagram. Keep reading to see what she shared along with precious photos.
Kelley Flanagan Mourns Huge Family Loss
Bachelor alum Kelley Flanagan is mourning the loss of her father this Christmas Day. She shared with fans a few weeks ago that he was in the hospital and not doing well. However, he battled his way through his illness and the family was working on getting him home.
His wish was granted and he was able to return home with hospice care. Kelley shared they thought he was doing better. On Christmas night she shared the devastating news that he had passed away.
She shared multiple memories of her father through the years. Kelley said,
Dear Dad,
I want to thank you for being the absolute best to mom and all 6 of us kids. I can’t begin to explain how much we all loved you and how much we appreciated how much you did for us on a daily basis. I know you’re up in heaven now and are going to watch down on all of us until we meet again. We will all miss you dearly and won’t forgot the patience you had for each and every one of us. Our house was always chaos and you were the calm soul that somehow handled it with grace.
Kelley went on to say that she believes her dad held on and fought until Christmas which was his favorite holiday.
She also shared that while she will be heartbroken without him for a while, she knows he would want her to bounce back and be happy. Kelley feels blessed to have spent 32 years by his side.
Kelly said he left an amazing legacy and will never be forgotten. She concluded saying rest in peace.
Bachelor Nation Showed Their Support
Kelley Flanagan’s fellow Bachelor alums and also fans immediately showed their support for Kelley’s tragic loss. Blake Horstmann, Jason Tartick, Abigail Heringer, Dylan Barbour and Lauren Zima were just a few members of Bachelor Nation to reach out to Kelley.
So far Peter Weber who dated Kelley following his season has not commented on her loss.
