The next movie from Oscar-winning duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, an untitled feature at Universal, finally will open in theaters on June 12, 2026.
As is standard for the Daniels, the whole project is hush-hush.
The Everything Everywhere All at Once duo inked a five-year exclusive pact with Universal back in August 2022.
Last year, Everything Everywhere All at Once won seven Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director for the Daniels, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan and Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis. The movie was the aorta for arthouse cinemas recovering from the pandemic closures in the spring of 2022, becoming A24’s highest-grossing movie ever at $77.1M domestic and $143.4M WW.
Currently, there are no other rival wide entries on June 12, 2026. Universal always had this date on hold for an event title — and there are a lot of other untitled holds by the major studios for dates in that summer. The one hard-dated title is Paramount/SpinMaster/Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol 3 on July 31, 2026.
