“Chucky” to Bring John Waters Back to the Franchise as Good Guy Dolls’ Creator

Hell’s “Hazbin Hotel” is preparing to open early next year. The adult animated comedy series from Vivienne MedranoA24, and FOX Entertainment’s Bento Box Entertainment has unveiled a brand new trailer for its inaugural season arriving this January.

The eight-episode first season is set to premiere January 19, 2024 exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, and has already been renewed for Season Two.

The animated musical comedy series follows “Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will be ‘checking out’ into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film-star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the ‘Radio Demon’ reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become reality.”

Guest stars include Broadway veterans Darren Criss (Saint Peter), Jeremy Jordan (Lucifer Morningstar), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Carmilla Carmine), Patina Miller (Sera), and Jessica Vosk (Lute).  They will join the stacked lineup of previously announced main cast including Erika HenningsenStephanie BeatrizAlex BrightmanKeith DavidKimiko GlennBlake RomanAmir TalaiChristian Borle, and Joel Perez.

“Hazbin Hotel” will feature original music and lyrics from platinum-certified artist Sam Haft and Emmy-nominated Andrew Underberg.

The adult animated series “Hazbin Hotel” began as a pilot written, produced, and directed by Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano that went viral when it premiered three years ago on YouTube. 

Fans can continue to visit HazbinHotel.com to pre-order special packages that include exclusive Season One merchandise until January 12, when early access to the first two episodes will be available to stream on the A24 App one week before they release on Prime Video, along with a virtual Q&A event with Vivienne Medrano and special guests.
