Daryl Hall is suing his Hall and Oates bandmate, John Oates, as first reported by Philadelphia. Hall filed his complaint against Oates, Aimee J. Oates, and Richard Flynn in Nashville’s chancery court on Thursday, November 16. The latter two defendants are labeled as co-trustees of the John W. Oates TISA Trust.

Hall’s lawsuit is currently sealed, meaning very little information about its content is known publicly. Online records indicate the case involves “contract/debt” and that a temporary restraining order was issued in the case.

Pitchfork has reached out to Daryl Hall’s attorney, Robb S. Harvey, as well as a representative for John Oates for comment and more information.
