Ela Minus and DJ Python have announced a collaborative EP. Their new release, ♡ (pronounced “Corazón”), is out September 16 via the Domino imprint Smugglers Way. The duo has shared a new single from the release called “Pájaros en Verano,” which translates to “Birds in Summer.” Find the video for the track below.
In a statement, Minus said that she wrote the song in an effort to escape the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic. “I made a list of things I was grateful for,” she said. “Clouds (and the time to look at them), quietness, sleep, books, food. I wanted to celebrate that ‘after all the days that never happened and the nights that didn’t exist,’ we are here, alive, and together.”
♡ follows Minus’ debut album Acts of Rebellion, which dropped in October 2020. DJ Python’s sophomore album, Mas Amable, was released in April 2020.
