On short notice, Nas has released a new project called Magic, produced by Hit-Boy. The nine-track release, executive produced by Nas and Hit-Boy, includes a collaboration with A$AP Rocky and DJ Premier called “Wave Gods.” Listen to Magic below.

Nas references hip-hop heavyweights throughout Magic, including JAY_Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Gang Starr. On “Wu for the Children,” Nas pays tribute to the late Virgil Abloh and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, among others. Hit-Boy produced and executive produced each of Nas’ last two albums, King’s Disease and King’s Disease II. The first King’s Disease earned Nas and Hit-Boy the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

Earlier this year, Hit-Boy worked with Nas on the singles “Big Nas” and “Life Is Like a Dice Game.” The producer also collaborated with Big Sean on an EP called What You Expect. The EP includes the single “What a Life,” which got a music video featuring Big Sean covered in bees.
