Moana star Auli’i Cravalho described co-star Rowan Blanchard as “biphobic” in a since-deleted post on TikTok.

Cravalho and Blanchard are starring together in the upcoming queer rom-com, Love in Color.

Fans were shocked when, in the caption of a now-deleted TikTok video, Cravalho appeared to call out her co-star.

The bisexual star, 21, posted a duet video with a fan who was celebrating the fact she and Blanchard would appear together in the new film.

Auli’i Cravalho could be seen looking happy and smiling when images of herself were on the screen, but looked down and covered her eyes as pictures of Blanchard appeared.

She captioned the clip: “She’s still biphobic but this movie is going to be so cute and queer!!!”

Naturally, fans began to enquire about the seemingly shady comment as one wrote: “crying cause that’s literally ur co worker”.

“I was also crying,” Auli’i Cravalho replied.

Snowpiercer star Blanchard was accused of liking biphobic tweets in 2019.

The actor responded to the inevitable backlash by saying: “I’m queer as f**k! My boyfriend’s a trans man and honestly none of [you] guys know s**t about my private life!

“I liked some tweets that were specific to a tweet between a community of writers whose tweets I find typically funny and interesting and hilariously cynical.”

She went on to slam the toxic nature of “cancel culture” and claimed it was discouraging her from participating in public activism.

Love in Color, which is produced by Maya Rudolph and Natasha Lyonne, follows an aspiring young artist who is forced to join her high school track team.

She uses the opportunity to pursue the girl she’s had a lasting crush on but soon finds herself falling for another teammate instead.

The film will be released exclusively on Hulu in the US, while international release details are yet to be announced.

PinkNews has contacted representatives for Auli’i Cravalho and Rowan Blanchard for comment.
