‘Godzilla vs. Hedorah’: Official Short Film from Toho Brings ‘Final Wars’ Monster Suits Back to Life! [Video]

For Godzilla Day and Godzilla Fest today, Toho has released a special treat in the form of a brand new 5-minute short film that continues the fight between Godzilla and Hedorah!

Kazuhiro Nakagawa (Ultraman Z) directed Godzilla vs Hedorah, which comes in the wake of Nakagawa’s previous short film that was titled Godzilla Appears at Godzilla Fest.

Coolest of all, the short uses the Godzilla and Hedorah suits from Godzilla: Final Wars!

Toho International, Inc. is celebrating Godzilla Day today, November 3rd in several ways, and they’re even bringing the original classic back to theaters for the big day.

The press release had announced, “Toho International, Inc. is excited to announce a Godzilla-sized 67th birthday celebration Nov. 3, kicking off with a world premiere of the 4K remastered original “Godzilla” film released in 1954. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will be hosting a nationwide world premiere of the 4K remastering of the classic 1954 “Godzilla” film!”

What else can you expect from Godzilla Day? “To continue celebrating the iconic monster’s 67th birthday, Toho has treated fans to all-new products to show off their true fandom with Godzilla-themed coffee and hot sauces, apparel (including t-shirts, long sleeves and hoodies), Hockey merch (jerseys, pucks and hats), toys, collectibles and more.”
