Indya Moore has teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger to create a non-gendered, size-inclusive capsule collection.

The Pose star and fashion brand have created designs “to make people feel seen, accepted and included.”

The capsule collection is being released worldwide from Tuesday (13 July) on tommy.com.

Indya told WWD that they were able to make a “really beautiful fashion line that isn’t confined between binary.”

The collection includes apparel, accessories, footwear, jewellery and eyewear, with polo shirts, Oxford button-down shirts, bandeau tops and pin striped blazers featured.

Each piece has been inspired by a signature from the Tommy Hilfiger archive and reimagined to respect multiple gender expressions.

The capsule collection also tells Moore’s personal story with details including initials of their hometown of the Bronx, New York and a lotus flower graphic symbolising rebirth and growth.

Discussing the range, the non-binary model, actor and activist says: “Anybody can wear it. I feel that unisex, gender-neutral and gender queer, I’m trying not to frame the clothes around using any label at all. They’re just clothes. I want to destigmatize fashion. I don’t want it to have any attachments.”

“I just want it to be wearable for as many kinds of people and bodies as possible. I hope that we were able to achieve that, at least more so than has been done in the past,” they add. “I know that someone else will be able to come in and do it bigger and better, and hope that’s one day soon.”

The inclusive collection also range from sizes XXS to XXXL, which Indya says was an “internal challenge” during the creative process because of archaic pre-set metrics within the fashion industry that haven’t evolved.

They told WWD that metrics in the factories “don’t accommodate everyone’s bodies. A lot of fashion brands that contract these places aren’t typically having these conversations with them.”

“We really went in and did so much work in trying to identify who we were going to talk to to make sure they had the tools to expand in the sizing,” they added.
