Koji Igarashi churned out a delightful spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of The Night with 2019’s Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night. And after a sequel to the pixel-based spin-off in Curse of The Moon 2 last year, it looks as though we’ll be getting a proper sequel to Bloodstained.

In a Digital Bros. slideshow presentation for their Fiscal Year 2020 report (505 Games, the publisher of Bloodstained, is owned by Digital Bros.), a slide is devoted to Bloodstained‘s performance. Along with news that the Metroidvania generated over €30 million in revenue (and over 1 million copies sold), the slide states that a sequel is currently in development.

Obviously, not much to go on, but it’s safe to say that Igarashi won’t be having to resort to Kickstarter this time to fund the development of Bloodstained 2.

Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night (check out our review here) is available on PC via Steam and GOG, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
