The General Mills Cereal Monsters Unite This Halloween for 50th Anniversary ‘Monster Mash’ Cereal!

Horror

It’s been a while since General Mills has done much of anything with their lineup of Monster Cereals, but this year is a big year and, well, they’re going BIG this Halloween season.

Officially teased over the weekend, General Mills is bringing “Monster Mash” cereal to the breakfast table this Halloween season, a 50th anniversary hybrid of *all* the spooky cereals!

Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, and even Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute (not seen since 2013!) are all joining forces for the mashup cereal, which celebrates the 50th birthday of the line’s launch with the Count Chocula and Franken Berry cereals back in 1971. Boo Berry followed in 1973, with Fruit Brute coming along in 1974 and Yummy Mummy in 1988.

Both Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy were short-lived and never quite caught on the way their monster pals did, and this will be the first time they’ve been back in nearly ten years.

The “Monster Mash” cereal is described as an “artificially berry flavored frosted cereal with monster marshmallows,” and it’s a true hybrid of all four of the beloved Halloween cereals.

Check out the box art below and expect to be eating this tasty treat in the coming months!
