A new RPG game titled The Division: Heartland will be released toward’s the end of the year and will be free-to-play for fans everywhere, Ubisoft has announced.
Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland will be a free-to-play standalone game set to be released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox around Q3/Q4. This time around, the game will be developed by Ghost Recon’s studio Red Storm Entertainment instead of Massive Entertainment, who developed The Division 1 and 2.
Luckily for fans of the franchise, players can already put their name down for the playtest.
With no official wording on what is to come with the game besides the image above, fans are speculating that it could be set in mid-west America. Other than that, we’ll just have to wait and see what else gets announced.
In related news, Ubisoft are also working on another The Division game, which is also in development for mobile. And if that wasn’t enough, a possible film adaption could be in the works as well as a novel which would be set post-The Division 2.
Until more news and details are revealed, fans of the franchise can still play The Division 2 as it is re-running previous seasons of content.
