The official Pride gin helps keep the event free in London.

A Pride gin has been released and we need to try it.

The Official Pride Gin bottle is priced at £28 from Amazon, with each sale helping keep Pride in London free for everyone to attend.

It’s from seller Bohemian Brands who regularly team up with the event to raise funds and awareness for Pride.

The gin is produced in the UK in small batches and is described as “distilled to perfection using the finest botanicals and purest spring water for the ultimate smoothness”.

It has a crisp, citrus finish and the 70cl bottle is 40 per cent in volume and comes in a rainbow embellished bottle, of course.

The brand also sells gin and vodka with bottles themed around birthdays, mother’s day and father’s day, football and rugby teams and more.

To get the Pride gin go to Amazon and to shop all of the products head to bohemianbrands.com.

Pride in London 2021 is expected to take place on 11 September, although it’s not yet been announced what the festivities will look like.

However this year’s event hasn’t come without controversy after five senior members, including its co-chairs, stepped down following damning accounts of racism and bullying.

It happened after its formerly most senior Black staffer, director of communications Rhammel Afflick, quit over a culture of racism that he says had seeped into the top of Pride in London.

Afflick’s resignation was followed by 20 volunteers and its scrutiny body, the community advisory board, also quitting and top partners including DIVA cutting ties with the event.

Pride in London described how the decision of co-chairs stepping down was made in response to the “urgent need for Pride in London to create a more inclusive environment, which centres Black volunteers, people of colour and other marginalised community groups”.
