‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Devours September 2021 Release Date

Horror

Last spring, Sony’s Columbia Pictures delayed their highly anticipated Venom: Let There Be Carnage from its planned October 2, 2020 date all the way to June 25, 2021. Now, with that date quickly approaching, the studio has shifted plans by pushing the Venom sequel to September 17, 2021, adding the Spider-Man spinoff to a growing fall slate that includes Candyman, Resident Evil, Malignant, and Halloween Kills, among several others.

Venom 2 is directed this time by Andy Serkis with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock, who is of course also the alien symbiote known as Venom. Woody Harrelson, who popped up as Cletus Kasady in the first film’s post-credits scene, ultimately becomes Carnage in the film.

Michelle Williams is also back, with Naomie Harris co-starring as Shriek.
