Bigoted pundit Rick Wiles launched a shocking transphobic attack against health secretary Dr Rachel Levine from a White House credentialed video channel.

The evangelical pastor called on Pennsylvanians to “chase that freak out of the state” in a vile rant on the 17 November episode of TruNews, just a few days after Levine was tipped for two key roles in the Biden administration.

Wiles repeatedly misgendered Levine throughout, alternately referring to her as “it”, “a man” and a “freak transvestite.”

After suggesting she needed “counselling” and “deliverance”, Rick Wiles turned to the people of Pennsylvania, whom Levine has led through the pandemic with grace and professionalism, and urged an outright rebellion.

“Chase that freak out of the state… Rise up in Pennsylvania, and chase that freak out of the state! You don’t have to tolerate this stuff.”

TruNews, founded by Wiles, was banned from YouTube in February for violating hate speech rules with antisemitism.

After it posted the video that apparently led to the ban, it was credentialed by the White House to cover Trump’s visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The comments came after Levine announced that Pennsylvania would expand its face mask requirements as she prepares hospitals for a surge in coronavirus cases.

This seemed to be of little concern to Wiles, a professional conspiracy theorist who has previously claimed that God is using coronavirus to purge the world of trans children and that it is “God’s judgement” when LGBT+ people die.

Unfortunately Wiles’ brand of evangelist transphobia is far from unique, and Dr Rachel Levine has had to endure constant harassment as she directs state-wide pandemic measures.

“Frankly, I do not have time for intolerance,” she hit back earlier this year.

“My heart is full with a burning desire to help people, and my time is full with working towards protecting the public health of everyone in Pennsylvania from the impact of the global pandemic through the COVID-19. I will stay laser focused on that goal.”
