During his final day on the campaign trail Donald Trump went on a bizarre rant about Lady Gaga, but it’s his pronunciation of her name that will feature in your nightmares.

Donald Trump has chosen Lady Gaga as his latest celebrity nemesis after it was announced that she would perform at a drive-in rally for Joe Biden in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Monday (2 November) to help build last-minute support for the Democratic nominee.

The Trump re-election campaign released an unintentionally hilarious statement on Sunday night (1 November) which slammed Biden for working with Lady Gaga and bizarrely described her as an “anti-fracking activist”.

But Trump was not finished. Speaking at a campaign rally in Avoca, Pennsylvania, on Monday he told the crowd: “Lady Gaga is not too good. I could tell you plenty of stories.

“I could tell you stories about Lady Gaga. I know a lot of stories. Lady Gaga.”

But it was the president’s pronunciation of her name – hard emphasis on the second “ga” – that had Twitter in meltdown.

Trump also hit out at Jon Bon Jovi and Beyoncé, whose name he also managed to pronounce incorrectly, in his speech.

“Jon Bon Jovi, every time I see him he kisses my ass,” he said, and added that Biden’s campaign “had” Beyoncé (pronounced “Beyonsee”).

Donald Trump used to think Lady Gaga was ‘fantastic’ and ‘amazing’.

In an even weirder twist, after some digging by Twitter users, it seems that until now Donald Trump was actually a Lady Gaga fan.

Photos and a resurfaced tweet show that Donald and Melania Trump attended a 2010 Monster Ball performance, which he described as “fantastic”.

A 2011 CNN interview also appears to show Trump claiming responsibility for Lady Gaga’s fame, after she performed at the Miss Universe pageant.

He said: “She’s a terrific person. And a great talent. But we put her on the Miss Universe contest, and to be honest with you, she was amazing. And the next day everybody wanted to know who the hell was that.”
