Watch Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon Perform New Song in Tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Music

Justin Vernon has shared a new song in video to promote a get-out-the-vote effort in his home state of Wisconsin. As part of his recent “Visit with Vernon” drive, Vernon spoke with an undecided  Wisconsin voter and a friend about why voting matters in the swing state this year. The song, called “Your Honor,” is a tribute to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died in September. Watch the video below.

The “Visit with Vernon” contest series is a part of the “For Wisconsin” voting initiative, an effort spearheaded by the Eaux Claires Festival that Vernon founded with the National’s Aaron Dessner. Vernon has previously lent his voice to progressive causes in this year’s elections, stumping for Bernie Sanders at a rally in Iowa in January and appearing on one of the Vermont senator’s virtual town halls in the spring.
