Movie Review “For The Love of Jessee”
Movies

Once in awhile a movie comes along that captures you immediately. It pulls you in from the moment it starts all the way down to the bitter end, only on this case, “For The Love of Jessee” ends joyously. What I loved most about this recently released movie is that the message was clear, you didn’t have to think, and you were able to just enjoy. The film had all of the attributes a movie should have. There was drama, suspense, sorrow, emotion, and joy.

Director and writer David McAbee is a genius. He made sure all of the characters became well-known so that you formed an attachment right from the start. The film starred Maud’s Adrienne Barbeau, Mandahla Rose, Randy Wayne, Tony Denman, Bre Blair, and Star Trek’s Manu Intiraymi. There was also an appearance by co-writer and executive producer Curta Schlarbaum. Kudos to all of them!

The film touched every heart evoking sympathy when necessary and triumph where needed. You hated the characters that were hateful and loved the ones that were lovable. The baby, Jessee was adorable. The cinematography was spot on, great job David C. Smith. Although the movie was produced on a budget it was beautifully executed. Special hats off to Mandalha Rose who played Sage and of course Adrienne Barbeau who portrayed Katharyn, the mother of Dr. Luke Matthew played by Randy Wayne.

During a time in our history when listening, reading and watching is more than encouraged, this film is essential……
