Iconic metal band GWAR recently made an unexpected appearance during a video segment with CNN correspondent Rick Damigella. Damigella caught up with guitarist Pustulus Maximus virtually as he self-isolates in his “Antarctican fortress,” which is suspiciously green and sunny.
While describing the origins of the band, Pustulus tells Damigella that “GWAR is the greatest band on Earth that you’ve never seen, apparently.” When asked how the remaining GWAR members are holding up during this time of self-isolation and social distancing, Pustulus replied, “I don’t care. Oh, you care! Well, I mean they’re doing stuff I guess. Working on music—I mean, I’m not going to learn any of it, you know. That just gets in the way of my stuff.” Watch the full report from the band’s Gwarantine below via CNN.
GWAR’s most recent studio album was 2017’s The Blood of Gods.
