Life is Strange: True Colors, the latest game in the LGBT+ series, will feature a bisexual lead when it’s released in September.

Developed by Deck Nine Games since 2017, the story will focus on new character Alex who visits her brother’s hometown of Haven but soon must investigate his death.

As is tradition for the series, Alex has supernatural powers – this time the ability to see characters’ emotions as coloured auras. The game will feature two possible romance options in Ryan and Steph, the latter appearing previously in Before the Storm.

The game was announced in a cinematic trailer showing off stunning graphics during today’s Square Enix Presents video event. It will be released on 10 September across all consoles and PC, and is available to pre-order now.

Previous titles Life is Strange and Before the Storm will also be released in the autumn in remastered form.

Square Enix also announced Forspoken, formerly Project Athia, that sees a young woman battling against giant dragons in a beautiful yet threatening world. Charlie’s Angels actress Ella Balinska will be playing the lead role.

With this year being the 25th anniversary of the Tomb Raider series, there’s plenty of Lara Croft goodness to come – most prominently the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy, a collection of the most recent games that’s available now.

Lara will also be appearing in Fortnite, a new anime series on Netflix, and the next feature film starring Alicia Vikander. Most importantly, there will be a Tomb Raider cookbook for fans hungry for more.

The event began with detailed information on Outriders, due out 4 April. A demo is already available to test out the game, but Square Enix gave plenty of information on its co-op RPG shooter that sees humanity exploring an alien planet. Think Destiny in third-person.

Marvel’s Avengers will be coming to next-gen consoles in a free upgrade available now, including new expansion Operation: Hawkeye. More intriguingly, a new Black Panther themed expansion is being developed, with Square Enix committed to supporting post-game content throughout 2021.

Elsewhere, colourful platformer Balan Wonderworld will be released on 26 March, plus a number of mobile games are being developed including a Space Invaders augmented reality game.
