This Star-Studded Quentin Tarantino Film Is Finally On Hulu
Horror

Few films can compare to the sheer star power Quentin Tarantino assembled for Pulp Fiction. In addition to a dynamite script and deft direction, the flick serves up a dazzling mixture of up-and-coming talent and household names. The film helped to revitalize John Travolta’s career and aided in launching Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman to superstardom. One thing is for sure, Quentin Tarantino has an eye for talent and an uncompromising creative vision.

Catch Pulp Fiction on Hulu now!

If you haven’t seen Pulp Fiction in a while and count yourself ready for a return visit to the gritty crime anthology, you’re in luck. Hulu added the film to their lineup on earlier this year.

Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction is Tarantino’s sophomore feature film. Many consider it his magnum opus. However, with a filmography like his, it’s tough for me to name just one picture as his best. Each of Tarantino’s features brings something special to the table.

The Academy nominated Pulp Fiction for seven Oscars in February 1995. Tarantino and co-creator Roger Avary took home the statuette for Best Original Screenplay that year. The film was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Actor (John Travolta), Best Supporting Actor (Samuel L. Jackson), and Best Supporting Actress (Uma Thurman).

Pulp Fiction marks one of the few instances where Tarantino worked with a collaborator on one of his screenplays. Kill Bill is another such example. Uma Thurman helped in the creation of the core characters and takes a ‘based on characters created by’ credit.

The film’s star-studded cast includes John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer, Maria de Medeiros, Ving Rhames, Eric Stoltz, Rosanna Arquette, Christopher Walken, and Bruce Willis.

The setup for this Oscar-winning Tarantino effort goes as follows:

Vincent Vega (Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Jackson) are hitmen with a penchant for philosophical discussions. In this ultra-hip, multi-strand crime movie, their storyline is interwoven with those of their boss, gangster Marsellus Wallace (Rhames); his actress wife, Mia (Thurman); struggling boxer Butch Coolidge (Willis); master fixer Winston Wolfe (Keitel), and a nervous pair of armed robbers, Pumpkin (Roth) and Honey Bunny (Plummer).
