Netflix is currently hard at work on “Black Mirror” Season 6, with production reportedly underway, and Deadline reports that Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) has joined the cast.
The site notes in their report this morning, “Netflix is keeping quiet on casting and details about Delaney’s role in the dystopian anthology are scarce.”
Previously announced, Rory Kulkin, Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Salma Hayek, Annie Murphy, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Myha’la Herrold, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton and Anjana Vasan are all part of “Black Mirror” Season 6.
We hear that “Black Mirror” Season 6 will have more than three episodes. As you may recall, “Black Mirror” Season 5 had only three episodes back in the summer of 2019.
Created by Charlie Brooker, “Black Mirror” is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable – and sometimes unsettling – conclusion. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us.
The hit series premiered in 2011, a sort of “Twilight Zone” for the modern day.
