Amazon has unveiled the films and TV series joining Prime Video UK in December 2021.

From Amazon originals to new series, there’s plenty of content to binge during the winter months.

The films and shows will all be available to stream for free as part of a Prime Video subscription, which costs £7.99 per month or £79.99 per year and comes with a 30-day free trial.

First up is new comedy series Harlem, which follows four best friends in Harlem, NYC, the mecca of Black culture in America.

It drops on 3 December and focuses on Camille, an anthropology professor at Columbia with extensive knowledge of the dating norms of many cultures, but has a hard time navigating her own love life.

There’s also Tye, a successful, queer dating app creator who keeps her romantic partners at arm’s length, Quinn, a hopeless romantic and trust fund fashion designer and Angie, a filter-free singer and actress.

It’s been penned by Tracy Oliver, who also wrote the script for the iconic Girls Trip and all episodes drop at once.

Following a limited cinema release, Being the Ricardos will debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video this month.

The film focuses on America’s favourite TV and real-life couple, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, played by Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem.

The story gives a glimpse into the I Love Lucy star’s relationship as it follows rumours about Lucille’s loyalty to the USA and Desi’s alleged affair.

Earlier this year the first pictures of Nicole Kidman as Lucille Ball emerged, but it divided some fans.

Some suggested that Kidman wasn’t the right person to play Ball, saying it was a “weird choice”, while others argued fans should wait until we see the performance.

The film will drop on Prime Video on 21 December, so viewers can decide for themselves.

Also premiering throughout December is new episodes of The Wheel of Time, which will be released weekly.

The female-fronted fantasy series, based on the novels by American author Robert Jordan, will finish up on 17 December with its seventh episode.
