The long-awaited drop of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 hit a major snag Saturday (2 January) after disgruntled reviewers reported Netflix would end the stream midway.

British and Irish viewers were roiled when, at around the 20-minute mark, the episode would suddenly end and instead show previews for other franchises on the streaming giant.

But Netflix UK and Ireland took to Twitter to assure users that it is “aware” of the bug and gave a pair of ways to get around the technical hiccup.

“We’re aware of an issue with the new episode of Drag Race at the 20-minute mark and are looking into it,” Netflix UK and Ireland wrote.

“For now, going back into the episode and skipping to ~21 mins should allow the episode to play in full. Sorry! We’ll update you when the issue is resolved.”

The platform later added that users can select “watch credits” to allow the “episode to play in full without taking you out,” swerving the glitch in the process.

Although, some Twitter users still reported their streams sputtering and abruptly ending even when doing this hack.

Others suggested their own tips, which Netflix clarified only works on certain devices.

Rupaul’s Drag Race season 13 is set to be a dizzyingly star-studded affair

The new Drag Race kicked off with an array of franchise firsts – with the 13 new queens lip-syncing two-by-two before they’ve so much as unpacked their cases.

A preview of the first episode, released on YouTube, teased the first two queens going head-to-head to the gay national anthem, Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”.

The new season also marks the first time an out trans man has competed for the crown.

In an apparent nod to this new era of inclusivity, RuPaul has tweaked her “Gentlemen, start your engines, and may the best woman win” catchphrase.

Now, RuPaul tells the queens: “Racers, start your engines, and may the best drag queen win!”

Moreover, the season will see an array of judges and guest appearances by a constellation of celebrities: Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson, Cynthia Erivo, Nicole Byer and more are all billed to appear.
