Lizzo in Versace

The first thought on everyone’s mind when they saw Lizzo’s Old Hollywood look at the Grammys was damn. The second thought was hot damn. The only thing we’re upset about is that she opted for a regular sized purse.

2

Lil Nas X in Versace

This is the dom cowboy look we deserved in Brokeback Mountain, so consider this my formal request for the film to be rebooted ASAP. Dressed in head-to-toe pink leather—including a fuchsia harness—Lil Nas X stole the whole show.

3

Billy Porter in Baja East

Block out the haters in 2020 using energy from Billy Porter’s curtained hat. His custom look is kinky matador meets Mama Mia, and we can’t get enough of it.

4

Dua Lipa

This is ’90s minimalism by 2020’s finest. Dua Lipa kept it sleek and simple in her pristine two-piece, which appeals to the Carolyn Bessette-Kennedys of the world.

5

Ariana Grande in Giambattista Valli

The princess of pop dressed like an actual princess, except we’ve yet to see royalty make gray look this good.

6

FKA Twigs in Ed Marler

FKA Twigs showed up looking like a regal queen worthy of a Velázquez painting, so please bow down to this piece of art. Her ornate garb is made complete with an actual veil, too.

7

Maggie Rogers in Chanel

Leave it to Maggie Rogers to bring a water canteen to the Grammys. Except hers is Chanel, worn with a dress from the house’s 2013 Métiers d’Art collection.
